UPDATE: Lottery luck in Merrill; woman wins $82,000

MERRILL (WAOW) - Merrill is on a lucky roll right now - at least when it comes to the Wisconsin Lottery.

Lottery spokesman Andrew Bohage said Tuesday that Kelly Magray of Merrill won half of $164,000 in Monday's Badger 5 daily jackpot game. She purchased the ticket at Pine Ridge Convenience Store in Merrill.

On Saturday, a ticket sold at Drew's Supermarket East in Merrill won a $1.4 million Megabucks jackpot. The prize had not been claimed by Tuesday afternoon, lottery officials said.

Magray claimed her $82,000 in winnings on Tuesday and after taxes she took home $55,145, Bohage said in a telephone interview from Madison.

A winning ticket with the numbers 20, 23, 25 28 and 30 was also sold in Hurley and will split the $164,000 prize.

Badger 5 is a daily game with jackpots that start at $10,000 and a grow a minimum of $1,000 a day until they are won.
