Mom makes capes for sick kids

Don't let her smiling 5'3 exterior fool you-and never mind the fact that sewing is not exactly a superpower.

Robyn Rosenberger has turned making a child's cape - just for fun - into a movement.

"I was making them for my nephew and my son and my dog," says Rosenberger, "and it was just like an 'Aha!' moment of this little girl named Brenna needed one."

Brenna was battling a rare skin disorder.

So Robyn sewed her a cape with a big yellow "B," and Super Brenna was born.

Word spread quickly.

In just six months, Robyn sent 700 personalized capes to sick children in 45 states and eleven countries.

Robyn now gets ten to 20 requests per day for the capes.

She says six months ago she never would have believed the project could get so big so quickly.
