Protesters greet Wis. governor in Pleasant Prairie

A handful of protesters are greeting people coming to see Gov. Scott Walker sign the Wisconsin state budget.

About a half-dozen protesters are waving signs outside the Pleasant Prairie company where the governor is expected to sign the budget on Sunday.

Seventy-year-old retiree Mary Palmer, of Racine, came to protest with her two sisters and a couple of teachers.

Palmer says she thinks Walker isn't doing enough to support education and she doesn't like his plans to expand private school vouchers.

Palmer also says she opposes the governor's policies generally and thinks he cares more about corporations than state residents.
