WAUSAU (WAOW) – One of the newest rising stars in country music will perform in Wausau this summer.
The Wisconsin Valley Fair announced Monday on "Wake Up Wisconsin" that Hunter Hayes will perform July 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Marathon Park.
The fair opens its six-day run July 30.
The 1,000 reserved seat tickets for the Hunter Hayes concert have been sold out, but general grand stand seating is still available.
It's first come, first served for those 9,000 seats. The gates open at 3:00 p.m. before the concert.
General admission to the concert is included with the $9 daily admission to the fair.
Hayes, a 21-year-old singer/songwriter, is a native of Louisiana. His self-titled album debuted in October 2011 and includes popular songs like “Storm Warning,” “Wanted” and “Somebody's Heartbreak.”
Hayes was nominated for three Grammy Awards, including best new artist, in 2013.
