Vice President of Marshfield Clinic dies

Dr. Todd Stewart, the vice president of Marshfield Clinic and an original member of its board of directors in 2008, has died.

Stewart died of natural causes on Monday, Marshfield Clinic President and CEO Dr. Brian Ewert, said in a statement Tuesday.

Stewart served as a pediatric intensivist in Marshfield for 10 years. He also served as one of the original board directors when the board was established in 2008. He was elected as vice president of the clinic last year.

Ewert said that Stewart guided children through serious injuries and illnesses while also giving "insightful perspectives" to the substantial changes in health care.

"Dr. Stewart was a man of vision and a highly-skilled physician," Ewert said.

Ewert said no date has been set to elect a new vice president to replace Stewart.
