4th of July holiday means a boost in food sales for grocers

The 4th of July holiday means a boost in sales for grocers.

At County Market in Wausau the Store Director says they have been busy all week.

Stores are offering discounts on many picnic foods  including hot dogs, cheeseburgers, pork spare ribs, potato salad, baked beans, lemonade and chocolate milk.

A survey done by he Wisconsin and American Farm Bureau Federations shows  the average cost for a summer picnic  for 10 is $57.20 or $5.72 per person according to AFBF. 

The cost in Wisconsin averaged $55.92 or $5.59 per person according to the WFBF.
