The 8-year-old boy who was struck by lightning in Marathon County will be coming home soon.

Blake Draeger was taken to U.W. Hospital in Madison with second degree burns.

There are holes in the ground where the 8-year-old boy was struck in the Town of Rib Falls last week.

His family said the strike threw Blake off his mini-bike, knocking him unconscious, even though the boy was wearing a helmet.

The family says Blake's father ran to help and used C.P.R. to revive his son.

Authorities arrived on the scene, and Blake was taken to the hospital in Madison where he has been recovering.
