John Carlson from Ross's Sport Shop in Wausau says that there's a good chance of catching some panfish and wall eye this weekend, especially if you're out at Philips Chain of Lakes or on Sioux Lake.
Carlson recommends that you use either nightcrawlers or a jig as your bait.
Near Wisconsin Rapids, Roger Peterson from Timberline Archery Bait and Tackle says that Small Mouth Bass, Blue Gills and Panfish are biting in Nepco Lake and in the Wisconsin River below the Port Edwards Dam.
For the smallies, Peterson recommends using night crawlers and buzz bait. For the Panfish and Bkue Gills, use wax worms or a bear hook as your bait,
