Traffic detours set up around Rhinelander due to utility project

Posted:

A $6.5 million dollar utilities upgrade is now underway on Kemp Street in Rhinelander.

For motorists, the project may mean a change in travel plans.

A portion of Kemp Street is now closed for demolition work of the road and the installation of new sewer and water lines.

City leaders have set up detours around the city.

Mayor Dick Johns says the detours are especially important this week because the community will have thousands of visitors for the Hodag Country Music Festival.
