Man witnesses Langlade County tornado

There was rain and wind, as Mother Nature dropped a round of storms on Langlade County.

Conditions changed rapidly throughout the county. On Highway C, north of Antigo, the skies were dark. But, down the road the sun was shining.

On Badger Road, in the Town of Peck, authorities reported spotting a funnel cloud and neighbors say it touched down in an area barley field.

"It was whirling around and going up, I thought it was going to be a lot more but it wasn't," George Sveda explained.

Sveda was working on the farm when the clouds rolled through.

"We heard something might be coming so we headed to the house," Sveda explained.

The National Weather Service reports a tornado did touch down. But, no damage was done.

"Everything looks good," Sveda said.

In fact Langlade County authorities say, luckily, they had no reports of damage anywhere.
