A coaching reunion took place on the court at Wausau West high school today.
Tom Diener was a special guest at the Warriors' basketball camp Wednesday morning. He reunited with his former assistant, Nate Lemmens, who is now the new head coach at Wausau West.
Diener won five state championships coaching boys basketball at Milwaukee Vincent High School before Lemmens worked with him for three years at Milwaukee Hamilton.
"Nate is just a great guy and he's going to do a great job and it's just fun to come up here and hang out with him a little bit," Diener said.
"We're going to do some coaching and we're also going to do some fishing and have some fun."
Everyone at camp, including Lemmens himself, took some advice from the veteran coach.
"It's really a great thing to have someone who I look up to and I think is one of the best basketball coaches Wisconsin has ever seen," Lemmens said. "And to have him to be able to teach the things that the way he does is a very good thing to have at our camp."
