The Hodag Country Music Festival is in full swing right now.
Thousands of screaming fans pack the northwoods campground to hear their favorite country artists.
Dustin Lynch is one of the artists. He's a singer-songwriter from Tennessee.
Lynch is playing at Hodag for the first time this year.
"My fans are amazing," said Lynch. "They're letting me and the guys live our dreams."
Lynch says he was honored to open for a legend, country music hall of famer, Don Williams.
"It's kind of like playing the Opry to be honest with you," said Lynch. "You ask your self, why in the world am I here with guys who have accomplished so much and written such timeless songs?"
But he hopes these aren't the only tunes he plays here. Lynch tells Newsline 9 he wants to be back headlining Hodag one day.
"I got to ride around town," said Lynch. "It's a beautiful country up here. I always like coming to Wisconsin."
His fans like it when he comes to Wisconsin too.
Thursday was just the first night of music. Some of country's biggest stars will hit the stage this weekend.
It was a successful weekend hunt for numerous area kids who bagged their very first deer.
