UPDATE: crash causes power outage, driver arrested for OWI


A one-car crash in Rothschild knocked out power to thousands of Wisconsin Public Service Customers.

Rothschild Police say the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. A driver rolled his car and hit a power pole, bringing down power lines near County Highway XX in Rothschild.

At one point, close to 3,000 customers were in the dark. Power was restored several hours later.

Police say the driver, a Mosinee man, was arrested on suspicion of OWI. He was not injured.
