Two Forest Co. teens face charges after stabbing

Two 17-year-olds face charges relating to a stabbing Saturday evening in Forest County.

According to the Forest County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a report of a stabbing in Mole Lake Saturday just after 9:30 p.m. A 17-year-old boy "appeared to have superficial wounds," according to a news release. He was arrested at the time, officers said.

The next day, deputies learned a 17-year-old girl was at a hospital seeking medial treatment. Deputies arrested her, sheriff's officials said.

The 17-year-old boy faces charges of disorderly conduct, substantial battery, obstructing law enforcement, and violating his probation, according to the sheriff's office.

The girl faces charges of endangering safety by a dangerous weapon, second degree reckless endangering safety, battery, and disorderly conduct.

The incident was likely not gang related, the sheriff's office reported. It is still under investigation.
