Dozens cool down at ice rink

Some people hit the ice rink at Greenheck Field house in Schofield on Wednesday to beat the heat.

Dozens of people were there, trying to cool down from the sweltering temperatures outside. Greenheck officials say they offer public skate a few times a month. Many there today so it couldn't have fallen on a better day.

"It gives people a place to go somewhere for a cheap price and cool down and have some fun," said Becca Lease.

Derek Lodholz agreed, "I was so sick of being outside so I thought I'd come here and get some skating in."

Greenheck offers public ice skating at certain times this month.
