23-year-old Antigo man killed in HWY 64 crash

ANTIGO (WAOW) – The Langlade County Sheriff's Department says a 23-year-old Antigo man was killed early Sunday when the car he was driving left the highway and rolled over.

Richard Kampmeier was alone at the time of the crash, which happened about 2 a.m., on state Highway 64 about 15 miles east of Antigo, Sheriff William Greening said in a statement Monday.

Kampmeier was traveling eastbound when his vehicle crossed the centerline and the westbound lane before plowing into the ditch, Greening said.

Kampmeier was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle, the sheriff said.
