UPDATE: Three hurt in crash near Eagle River

EAGLE RIVER (WAOW) - Three women were injured Wednesday when a car crossed the centerline and crashed into another car, the Vilas County Sheriff Department said.

The crash happened about 11:30 a.m. and blocked state Highway 70 for about an hour, investigators said.

The seriousness of the women's injuries was not immediately known but all three were transported to local hospitals, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

The driver of the car that crossed the centerline was alone, while the car that was hit had a driver and a passenger, investigators said.
