One of the best parts of being outdoors is getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
I was taken to a secret fishing spot that gives the word "untouched" a completely new meaning.
can't get to a secret untouched fishing sweet spot without putting in
the effort. Avid fly fisherman Mike Viviani tells me what we have to do,
"We wheel in and it's about a one mile walk on a foot trail."
With no signs or marked trails Vivianni leads the way, "We are north of Minocqua in an area that we have been fishing for probably about 25 years. It is known only as "The Secret Bass Lake. I can guarantee you will always catch fish on this lake."
Fish after fish was biting. We lost track of time and when we finally looked at the clock, hours had passed and if I wanted to make it to work on time we had to leave paradise.
"As you can see, it's a beautiful body of water. It's a lake that's easy to fish. There's no people, no houses. We're 4 miles plus back in the wilderness. There's loons and eagles, a lot of wildlife. It's quiet, it's peaceful and it's good fishing so there's not much more you can really ask for."
