"WhyNotWausau?" brings concerts to the 400 Block

Wausau's 400 Block will be rocking with music Saturday night.

It's part of this year's "WhyNotWausau?" event.

For the fourth year, organizers are bringing two bands to the city.

People also participated in yoga and painting a portion of the Ice Age Trail.

Organizers said the weekend event is about bringing attention to what Wausau can offer.

"We get a lot of folks that come back to Wausau for this weekend, we're getting more and more of those every year, so we're looking forward to seeing some familiar faces we haven't seen before," said Gerald Mortensen, Event Organizer.

This year's concert will feature the bands, The Giving Tree and will open with The Charles Walker Band from Milwaukee.

The music starts at 7 p.m. and organizers said it will go on, rain or shine.
