Wausau man convicted of bigamy released

A Wausau man who spent time behind bars for bigamy is out of jail.

Tim Swinea, 46, was already married when he took a Mosinee woman as his second wife. The woman says she didn't know he was married.

In court Thursday, a judge sentenced Swinea to time already served. He spent 135 days in the Marathon County jail.

Judge Mike Moran also sentenced Swinea to serve three years probation.

In Calumet County, Swinea is charged with felony forgery after a girlfriend accused him of stealing money from her business. That trial is expected to begin next month.
