Car hits teenage bicyclist, driver flees the scene

A 13-year-old bicyclist told police that the driver of a car that hit her at a Marshfield intersection, sending her onto the hood of the car, apologized through the window and then fled the scene.
According to a Marshfield Police Department report, the collision happened Thursday about 9 p.m. at the intersection of south Oak Avenue and west Veterans Parkway.
The girl had bruising to her legs and complained of some soreness to her ribs, the police report said.

The girl described the driver of the car as a teenage boy with shaggy brown hair with blonde highlights and rectangle-shaped glasses.
Police said there were no suspects.
