Marathon Co. to receive funds to fight domestic violence

Marathon County is getting some help to prosecute domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking cases.

The county is set to receive more than $60,000 from Wisconsin's Attorney General and the State Department of Justice.

The money is part of the state's Stop Violence Against Women Act. The program is designed to help district attorneys hold those who are violent against women accountable while also supporting victims.
