Suder's spokeswoman: No decision yet on resigning

Wisconsin Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder has not made a decision yet about whether to resign from office and take a new job, according to his spokeswoman.

Multiple media reports, quoting unnamed sources, said Suder (R-Abbotsford) plans to step down from his position in the next few weeks and take a job with the Public Service Commission.

Newsline 9 asked Suder's communications director, Vanessa Morrone, if these reports are true. While Morrone didn't confirm them, she didn't deny them either.

"There's no decisions made," she said. "He's still working for the 69th district and that's kind of where it's at right now."

Morrone said Suder hasn't told his staff about any decisions either. She said Suder is traveling right now, but more information could be released Wednesday afternoon when he's back in Madison.

"Hopefully by then he'll be able to answer some of the media's questions on what's going on," said Morrone.

Suder was first elected to the Assembly in 1998.
