An Arkdale woman who went missing for two days without her daily medicine has died in a Marshfield hospital.
Alice Peterson, 64, died Thursday night, a day after being found unconscious a quarter mile from her vehicle in a wooded area near Port Edwards, said Carla David, a spokeswoman for Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital.
Peterson hadn't contacted her family since Monday and left without her medication that she needs to take daily for diabetes, the Adams County Sheriff's Department said.
An autopsy was to be performed on Peterson as the investigation into her disappearance continued, an investigator said.
