Shawano County Sheriff's officials have released the names of the two people involved in Thursday's fatal crash in the town of Morris.
According to a press release, Mary K. Sawiki. 60, of Tigerton, was airlifted to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.
Lori L. Bassette, 42, also from Tigerton, was transported to the hospital but the extent of her injuries are unknown.
Officials say both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
One person is dead and another injured in a two vehicle crash in Shawano County Thursday, according to a press release from the Shawano County Sheriff's office.
The press release says the crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 29 at County Highway J, in the Town of Morris.
Authorities say one of the vehicles was traveling north on County Highway J, attempting to make a left turn onto the State Highway when it pulled out in front of eastbound traffic and was hit.
They say the driver was airlifted to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the eastbound driver was injured, but they say the extent of those injuries are unknown at this time.
Authorities say both drivers are from the Tigerton area. Their names have not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
