Above average temps nice surprise for many

Summer is winding down but it hasn't quite felt that way outside. Many businesses are welcoming the warm temps, while others say it's just too hot.

Golfers at Crane Meadows Golf Course in Weston are battling the heat. The above average temperatures have the links close to empty as the afternoon sun shines down.

"When it's in the 90s, everyone comes in the morning to beat the heat out," said clubhouse manager Alex Wde.

Despite a slow day, workers say it's been a great season.

"We had a late spring and weren't able to start until pretty late but we've made a lot of money and it's been a good season so far," explained Wde.

While this summer has seen its ups and downs, golfers say it couldn't have been better weather for them.

"It's the perfect weather to play golf, a little breezy, sun out, it's been good," said golfer Jordan Nelson.

At the Weston Aquatic Center it's a little different. This year has been one of the worst seasons on record.

"We had low numbers, and we've had to close a lot because of the weather," said one of the lifeguards.

The weekend's warm weather makes for a great way to end the season. So whether it's being first on the green or splashing around by the pool, everyone can agree it's nice to see the sun.
