UPDATE: Nearly 2,000 WPS customers in the dark

Thousands of Wisconsin Public Service customers are in the dark, following a Monday morning thunderstorm.

According to the Wisconsin Public Service website, as of 10:00 a.m., 1,907 customers are without power in Central Wisconsin.

Here is a list of the affected areas (with more than 100 outages):

Rhinelander: 1,280

Waupaca: 142

Stratford: 131
