UPDATE: One person transported to the hospital after HWY 29 crash in Rothschild


One woman has been hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash during a thunderstorm Monday morning in Marathon County.

According to Rothschild Police Officer Darren Honkanen, a 19-year-old female lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a rail just after 7:00 a.m. on HWY 29 East, near Business 51.

Honkanen says she was trasported to Aspirus Wausau with head and leg injuries.

She was cited at the scene for driving too fast for conditions.


Authorities responded to a one-car crash on HWY 29 East, near Business 51, in Rothschild just after 7:00 a.m. Monday morning.

According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department, one person was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
