Highway reopened after fatal Iron Co. crash

Iron County Sheriff's Department officials say a 17-year-old male is dead, after a one-car rollover just after midnight Saturday. They say the female driver was transported to Aspirus Grand View Hospital and later flown to another hospital because of the severity of her injuries.

Authorities say it happened on State Highway 77 in the city of Montreal, when the two were traveling westbound and the female apparently lost control.

They say the car left the road and hit several trees and rolled over, landing on its roof. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.

No names are being released at this time.

Officials say Highway 77 is now reopened after a crash reconstruction team tried to figure out what happened.

The crash remains under investigation.
