WAUSAU (WAOW) -
A group called "Prevent Suicide Wisconsin" hosted its third annual "Out of the Darkness" walk this morning. Over two hundred people came to marathon park to take part in the event. The fundraiser plans to raise awareness for suicide in marathon county. Participants ranged from single walkers to large groups to support the cause. “It's a very fun way to get family and friends together to support each other," said Debi Traeder, the “Prevent Suicide Wisconsin” coordinator. Proceeds from the event will go to both local and national foundations to fund prevention programs.
