Frost advisory active early Monday morning

The National Weather Service will have a frost advisory active between 1 and 8 a.m. Monday morning for several counties in northern and central Wisconsin.

Areas under the advisory include: Marathon, Clark, Taylor, Price, Ashland, Iron, Vilas, Oneida, Lincoln, Langlade, Forest, and Florence Counties in addition to locations in northwestern Wisconsin and northern Michigan.

Frost advisories are issued by the National Weather Service when frost is expected. The NWS advises frost-sensitive vegetation be protected to avoid possible damage from cold temperatures.

Cool air has been following the frontal boundary that moved across the state earlier Sunday morning. That, in combination with gradually clearing skies late tonight are setting the stage for the potential for overnight frost.
