Sheriff: Tip from California leads to drug raid


CRANDON (WAOW) – Three pounds of marijuana were seized and four people were arrested following the search of a Crandon home, the Forest County Sheriff's Department said Monday.

The search followed a tip from the Visalia, Calif., Police Department that a suspicious package would be shipped to the Crandon home, Sheriff John Dennee said in a statement.

Investigators also recovered 22 grams of bath salts, Vicodin pills and other drug paraphernalia during last Thursday's search, Dennee said.

According to Dennee, the people arrested were: April McGeshick, 52; Maria Mascorro, 39; Brian Randall, 21; and Cole Soman, 19.

The four were arrested on suspicion of various charges, including possession of marijuana, knowingly keeping a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia, the sheriff said.
