UPDATE: Antigo man claims $1 million prize

MADISON (WAOW) - Ronald Theisen of Antigo wasted little time claiming his $1 million Powerball prize.

The Wisconsin Lottery said Theisen matched all five regular numbers in Saturday's drawing _ 1, 17, 25, 37 and 44 _ and brought the winning ticket to Lottery headquarters in Madison on Monday. The ticket was validated Tuesday.

Theisen received $672,500 after taxes. He bought the ticket at Remington Oil Co. in Antigo.

Theisen is the second recent big winner from Antigo. Bien Ngo won $1 million on May 18.

Theisen is the 16th Wisconsin Powerball ticket worth at least $1 million since Powerball became a $2 game in January 2012, the Lottery said.

Theisen declined to participate in a check-presentation event, the Lottery said.
