Mosinee Middle School library renovated

The library in the Mosinee Middle School has undergone renovations after winning a $5,000 online makeover contest and receiving thousands more in community donations.

The walls of the library have been repainted in the school colors, new furniture and shelving has been added and there are laptop computers and a smartboard.

Students say they like the changes.

The librarian says she can see it on their faces when they walk in the room.

"They walk in and say, wow! Many changes have occurred here,"  said librarian Sandy Wurdeman.

The library is housed in a room that dates back to 1938.

School leaders say thousands of people voted in the online contest for the school to win the makeover.
