Farm shows times from The Great Depression

People got to experience a slice of Marathon County history Sunday.

While many struggled during The Great Depression, the Fromm family thrived. The brothers sold furs and the farm became the center of the world's fur auctions.

The Marathon County Historical Society gave people a glimpse into that world. Organizers say it's an important part of the community.

"They are a really important part of Marathon County history and we don't want that to be just lost," said Sara Goetsch, the curator of the Marathon County Historical Society.

Sunday was the final day for the tour. It ended with live music and a silent auction.

Organizers say 275 people participated in the event, which is in its second year.
