Portage County fraud case will head to trial

A Portage County man accused of fraudulently cashing social security checks for decades will now head to trial.

Ronald Disher was charged last year. Authorities say he fraudulently cashed his mother in law's checks. In court on Monday, Disher was set to enter a plea, but he did not. Now, a judge has set a new trial date.

Another man, Charles Jost, has a plea hearing scheduled for tomorrow. He faces the same charges of fraud.

Disher's defense attorney did not wish to comment.
