Tuesday's semi crash will close lanes again Wednesday.
All lanes of Highway 29 East opened about 3 p.m. Tuesday but the State Patrol says there will be lane restrictions again Wednesday when they return to remove the truck from the scene.
The crash happened about 9 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 29 near Highway 51 Business Route.
"Basically the truck was going westbound on 29 and for some reason, at this point unknown to us, he lost control, crossed the median, hit the guardrail on the opposite side of 29 and then went through the guardrail and struck the fence and then rolled on it's side," said State Patrol Sgt. Rich Reichenberger.
The State Patrol says it was not able to remove the truck from the scene on Tuesday and will resume that effort Wednesday morning. Expect lane restrictions on Highway 29 East starting Wednesday morning at 9.
The truck was hauling powdered cement. The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The State Patrol says luckily no other vehicles were involved, especially considering the path of the out of control truck.
