FRIENDSHIP (WAOW) – A 78-year-old Friendship man missing with possible health issues had not been found nor had he contacted authorities Tuesday, the Adams County Sheriff's Department said.

Baleriano Medina was last seen by law enforcement in Sparta after leaving his Friendship home about 6 p.m. Sunday in his car, Lt. Seth Tully said.

He is considered "at risk" because of health problems, including diabetes, and authorities have been unable to verify that he has needed medication with him, Tully said.

Medina, who is driving a gray, 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, was stopped by the State Patrol near Sparta and given a warning ticket after he left his home, Tully said.

"He made some mention of going to some religious location over to the west," Tully said.
