Investigators still looking into fatal Wausau crash

Investigators are still looking into a deadly three-vehicle crash in Wausau that killed an 85-year-old woman.

The crash happened in June, at the intersection of 17th and Stewart Avenue.

Wausau Police said the crash killed Francis Wilk of Wausau.

Authorities said the driver of an SUV, a 51-year-old Wausau man, claimed to be having a medical issue that caused the crash.

Investigators said the man was speeding.

Officials still haven't released his name.

"Still waiting for the toxicology reports to come back from Madison before we make any other decisions," said Jeff Hardel, Wausau Police Chief.

Wausau Police said initial tests showed the man was not under the influence of alcohol.
