At the Division 1 Sectionals in Eau Claire, D.C. Everest junior Gabi Kitchell defeated SPASH freshman Emily Luetschwager in straight sets, 6-3,6-3 for the No. 1 Singles Sectional Title.
In the No. 1 Doubles Championship Match, Wausau East's Mallory Wanserski and Caroline Krolicki defeated Eau Claire Memorial's Britta Pressler and Devin Bourget in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0. SPASH placed second in the team standings while Wausau East finished tied for fourth with Menomonie
The Division 2 girls tennis sectionals took place in Kohler with Newman Catholic winning the team sectional title. The Fighting Cardinals will play at the team state championships in Madison in two weeks.
Pacelli's No. 1 doubles team of Molly Wirtz and Nicole Schroeder finished second at sectionals, losing in the championship match to Newman's Toni Rufledt and Carly Maves, 7-6 (8-6), 6-0.
