Thousands of dolls at Wausau doll show

A show put thousands of dolls on display in Wausau Saturday, all for the 34th annual Doll Toy Antique Show and Sale.

The event took place at St. Matthew's gymnasium. There were classic dolls and even a number of Barbies on display. The event benefits Altrusa International of Wausau. That's a group of women with a common goal.

"We have other literacy projects that we help fund scholarships through NTC and a variety of smaller programs that we pay with these funds,” said Altrusa Doll Show Co-Chair Bernie Corsten.

The event cost four dollars to get in. Organizers say they are already looking forward to next year's doll show.
