Portage County Sheriff's Department officials say alcohol is considered a factor in an early Saturday morning crash near Edgewood. They say a woman drifted off the road, hit a mailbox, went into the ditch and rolled several times before the car stopped on its roof on Highway I.
Sgt. Nicki Lukas tells Newsline 9 the female driver was the only one in the car and she was not wearing a seat belt.
Lukas says the woman was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield with what's being considered non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say the crash is still under investigation.
