A central Wisconsin college opened its doors Tuesday night to welcome prospective students.
Nicolet College in Rhinelander held a college visit night as an opportunity for possible students to learn more, and to see if the school is a good fit. Organizers say about 30 students and their families attended the annual event. They say the event gives possible students and their loved ones the chance to meet professors and tour classrooms.
"A lot of students that come to Nicolet College are first generation students," said Erika Warning, a career coach at the college. "So its really important for them and their parents to have the opportunity to get their questions answered."
Representatives from four year colleges also attended the event to talk to students who plan to eventually pursue their bachelor's degree.
