"It's really been a team effort and I don't know, we've just been putting it together."
Colin Jamison is a junior and has three years of high school soccer under his belt. Tyus Groos is a senior playing his first and only season on the pitch. Together, they've put the ball at the back of the net, time and time again.
"It's tough but it's basically the touch," Jamison said. "You just hope to get a good touch. You try to keep it close to your feet so that you can just explode through. But there's a lot of feet in there and hopefully you can just catch a good break."
Groos decided to play soccer during the summer, after spending freshman and sophomore year on the football team and his junior year healing an injury.
"I have always been playing soccer," Groos said. "My siblings and stuff all played through Pacelli and I just wanted to switch it up a bit my senior year and see what I can do on the soccer field."
Jamison says that Groos is so fast that he's difficult to keep up with.
"We lost some people, but we gained some people like Tyus, he's been playing great this year," Jamison said.
Groos only adds to the power Jamison brings up top.
"He's able to score, he's able to make good decisions. In our last game he had the game winner," Groos said. "He's got a great shot, it's nice to have him up top."
