Weekend Anchor, Multimedia Journalist

Paige Hulsey

Posted:

Paige Hulsey joined the Newsline 9 team as a multimedia journalist in September 2013 and eventually made the move to anchor the weekend broadcasts.

Paige attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She double majored in Broadcast News and Rhetoric. While at Drake, she interned with KCCI in Des Moines and KSDK in St. Louis, Missouri. She co-anchored Drake's newscast, Drakeline. She was also the field reporter for the Drake Relays, where she interviewed Olympian Lolo Jones.

After graduation, Paige moved to Tianjin, China to teach English at Tianjin Normal University. Paige got caught up in the excitement of backpacking rural China, Cambodia, Korea, and other Asians countries for about two years. After a semester as a lecturer at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai, China, Paige decided it was time to return to the States and pursue her other passion - journalism.

Here in Wisconsin, Paige feels at home with the Midwestern friendliness. She misses her favorite Asian dishes but is happy to be only a drive from home. She is looking forward to more days on the Granite Peak slopes and getting to know North central Wisconsin.
