WAUSAU (WAOW) -
Aviation took center stage today at a festival in central Wisconsin.
Families enjoyed the event called "Learning to Fly" hosted on the UW-Marathon County campus. Activities included model rockets, bird paintings and touring the Dream Flight U.S.A. bus. Organizers say the families seem to enjoy the variety of activities.
"They don't have to wait in lines and yet they get to enjoy all that we have here to offer," said Diana Budde, the “Learning to Fly” chairman.
The event was put together by the university's lecture and fine arts department. Admission to the festival was free.
