Wausau man hurt after bicycle-car crash


An Everest Metro Police Sergeant tells Newsline 9 a 50-year-old Wausau man is hurt after he was hit by a car.

Police say it happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Schofield Avenue and Business 51 in Schofield.

Officers say witnesses said the man rode his bicycle into the path of the car.

Everest Metro Police officials say witnesses also said the car had a green light at the time of the crash.

Authorities say the man was taken to St. Clare's Hospital for his injuries.

Police say no one else was injured.

Officials say the accident is still under investigation.
