Merrill woman convicted in workplace forgery

MADISON (WAOW) - A Merrill woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court to forging a check that belonged to her previous employer, G3 Industries, U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil said.

As part of a plea agreement, Amy Rajek, 37, agreed to pay nearly $422,000 in restitution but she could still face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, Vaudreuil said in a statement.

Rajek is to be sentenced Jan. 10.
