Antique show begins in Wausau

WAUSAU (WAOW) - They say one man's trash is another man's treasure, and people in Wausau were on the lookout for those treasures.

The sixth annual Park Holiday Antique Show at Marathon Park began on Saturday. About 35 vendors from across the Midwest sold jewelry, furniture and different Christmas items.

Organizers say the event is fun for customers, but even more fun for the vendors.

"It's an extra job or hobby to them the dealers and also it's a way to make a living. It's a wonderful way to make a living, because you love what you do so much," said Audrey Hanson, the show's coordinator.

Organizers are estimating that about 1,400 people will attend the event, which continues Sunday from 10-4.
