WI Supreme Court hearing arguments on Act 10

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Supreme Court is hearing arguments Monday in the case challenging Governor Scott Walker's collective bargaining restrictions.

Last year, Dane County Circuit Court Judge Juan Colas ruled parts of Act 10 unconstitutional as it applied to Madison Teachers Inc. and the union representing Milwaukee public employees.

Last month, Judge Colas found officials with the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission in contempt of court for continuing to enforce parts of the law.

The state appealed, and the appellate court sent the case directly onto the Supreme Court.

Wisconsin's high court will hear arguments Monday on both Colas' original ruling and his contempt ruling.
